Types of Care and Benefits We Offer

A hand supporting a cloud of words related to mental health and well-being.

Whether you are looking for Life Coaching, Counseling or Therapy, we have you covered.  What is the difference? For my life coaching clients, we address issues such as goal setting, accountability, partnering, career guidance, and time management.

With Counseling clients, the focus is on addressing short-term problems, such as divorce, dealing with significant life changes, and complicated feelings associated with aging, among others.

Therapy using EMDR is effective for many types of concerns, such as depression, anxiety, OCD and of course, trauma, both significant and minor.  Surviving a hurricane, being raped, assaulted, or kidnapped can lead to substantial and lasting emotional pain. In addition, substantial trauma can accumulate over time in situations such as domestic violence, prolonged childhood abuse or being trafficked. Minor traumas, such as having a scary/negative medical experience, dealing with a sudden loss or suffering systemic discrimination, can cause emotional distress and impair healthy functioning.

Address Unresolved Issues

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) offers personalized therapy that helps uncover and process unresolved issues, allowing you to break free from past abuse, loss, disaster or medical complications, to name a few. By addressing the root causes using EMDR tools and protocols, you can cultivate a healthier relationship with yourself and move forward with greater clarity, healing, and freedom.

Better Physical and Emotional Health

Counseling supports both emotional and physical well-being by reducing stress, improving coping skills, and promoting healthier habits. Through personalized Counseling, individuals can also develop healthier relationships and communication skills.

Break the Cycle of Negative Patterns

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps us recognize and break harmful patterns by increasing self-awareness, addressing negative self-talk and providing tools for lasting change—empowering us to create healthier relationships and develop more effective ways of living and relating. Generational trauma, unhealthy relationships and dysfunctional family dynamics are often the source of these complicated feelings.  CBT is effective at empowering you to make the life changes that you seek.

Setting Boundaries

Psychotherapy provides insight that helps us understand our own needs, live more authentically and become more self-attuned. Having self-respect leads to healthy boundaries. They are mutually exclusive.
